About us
HopScotch is an Edinburgh based charity providing respite breaks for disadvantaged children from areas of Scotland. We were established in 1998 and are run by a small team of highly motivated and committed staff.
At HopScotch we believe that all children deserve to have a childhood and thus, Hopscotch was set up to give the many children in Scotland that experience often hard and even dangerous everyday lives a chance of a break.
For such a small and recently established charity, our achievements are clear and measurable. We work closely with the groups and children we work with, allowing us to get to know the children and their carers, providing excellent feedback and follow up information.
HopScotch does not recieve any central or local government funding. We rely totally on financial support from charitable trusts, companies and individuals.
