Activity Centre Appeal

Published 04 Oct 2017

HopScotch is passionate about providing free respite holidays for vulnerable children in Scotland. For 30 weeks each year, we treat over 350 children to accessible adventure breaks at Ardvullin House. However, during winter the respite break season ends since bad weather can prevent some of the outdoor experiences from taking place. The time has come to increase the capacity and flexibility of our accommodation and facilities at Ardvullin.

Our goal is to build an exciting Activity Centre on site at Ardvullin. This will allow us to provide indoor sports activities, whilst reducing costs and also giving older children much-needed alternatives.

Most importantly, this will allow us to extend our annual programme, which currently runs between March and October.

Building the centre will cost £198,000, and since we receive no funding from government or local authorities we are working hard to fundraise ourselves for this significant and transformational capital project. We have launched the HopScotch Activity Centre Appeal to help us reach this goal. Can you help us build our activity centre, brick by brick? A donation of just £10 can lay that first brick, and a larger donation can help us to build walls...until, brick by brick, we reach our goal together!
