Over the past 26 years, we have welcomed over 7,500 children to Ardvullin our respite centre—children who may never have ventured beyond their local area. A HopScotch holiday, brimming with fun, adventure, and friendship, transforms the lives of those facing daily challenges.
At HopScotch Children's Charity, we hold the belief that every child deserves to feel special—to laugh freely, explore safely, and experience the true joy of childhood.
"Magic Moments" represents our commitment to offering joyful escapes and unforgettable experiences to children and young people who need them most. For many, it marks their first time seeing the sea, toasting marshmallows, or simply embracing the feeling of being carefree.
These holidays are not just breaks; they are powerful, life-affirming moments that build confidence, foster treasured memories, and reinforce the message that each child truly matters.
Highland firsts
£25 - Give a child their very first Highland adventure – maybe their first time seeing a mountain, going to the beach, paddling in the water, experiencing a ferry ride, or sleeping in a bunk bed.
Happiness Hike
£50 - Gets a group of children out on a nature walk, visiting a local farm park – an escape from screens and stress!

Explorers pack
£30 - This will sponsor an explorer’s pack with a torch, hat, journal, and a cuddly Highland coo – giving one child the chance to discover, record and cherish their week.
Pony pal for a day
£25 - Let a child meet and ride a horse, an unforgettable bond and major confidence boost.
